OCTOBER 2012

"The Debate" 

Shelby & Michael met the night of the second presidential debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.  Obama (pictured here) went on to win the election 332 electoral votes to 206.  Depending on whose guest you are, this was either a great night or a terrible night.

Shelby & Michael pictured at an electronic music concert. Oh my, how things have changed.

JANUARY 2013

"The First LA Trip" 

Shelby & Michael pictured at an LA Clippers game. Michael (in Clippers jersey) has his first lesson in bandwagoning.

April 2013

"The First Coachella" 

Shelby & Michael pictured in front of the main stage at Coachella. "The best part is clearly the food," Michael reported after eating 5 different types of hot dogs over the weekend.

JUNE 2013

"The Road Trip" 

Shelby & Michael pictured at the FDR memorial in Washington, D.C., the first stop on their Southern road trip, Michael insisted on going to the gift shop prior to actually walking through the memorial. You can see him wearing his commemorative buttons in this photo.

"The first (and only) Bonnaroo"

Shelby & Michael with David Bowie face paint at Bonnaroo.  Take a guess if they slept in a tent that night or drove 45 minutes to the nearest hotel so they could sleep in a real bed.

"The 2048 Costume" 

Shelby & Michael at a Halloween party dressed as tiles from the most addictive mobile app game of all time.  It was the beginning of an era: Coordinated Halloween costumes.

JULY 2015

"The Eurotrip" 

Shelby & Michael pictured in Berlin emulating two of their favorite communists, Honecker and Brezhnev.  "Slip me some tongue, comrade!" 

OCTOBER 2015

“The Giants Jersey”

Shelby & Michael pictured at MetLife Stadium shortly after Shelby purchased an Odell Beckham Jr.  jersey.  With that investment, Shelby officially submits herself to a lifetime of disappointment as a NY Giants fan.

MARCH 2016

“The Run-in with David Byrne (of Talking Heads fame)”

Shelby & Michael pictured with their hero (who isn’t in statue form this time) in the restaurant across the street from their apartment.  Michael almost hit the “Psycho Killer” singer with his car, so they stalked him in to the restaurant and got to take a picture.

AUGUST 2016

“The Engagement”

Shelby & Michael pictured at The Morrison Hotel Gallery in Soho where Michael asked Shelby not only to be his wife, but to also start a collection of Rock N Roll photography with him. She said yes to both.
